Many times students cannot properly answer when asked “What is Partial Pressure?” or “Define Partial Pressure”. In this concise post, you’ll learn how to properly and correctly and completely define Partial pressure.
What is Partial Pressure?
The partial pressure of a component gas in a mixture of non-reacting gases is the pressure that the component gas would exert on the vessel if the concerned component gas occupied the whole vessel alone at the same temperature.
Unit: atm / Pa / kPa (any pressure unit)
